What you tell us in the intake, what your child says in the session, and what we find all stay with you. That includes things a parent mentions in passing about the home, a job loss or an illness. None of it appears in any document that leaves your hands.
Privacy
Your child’s report is not automatically shared with anyone.
The parent or guardian controls routine sharing. There is one exception, and we state it plainly rather than burying it.
We do not ring the school, the tutor or a relative to discuss your child. If the school referred you to us, that does not change. Schools sometimes expect to hear back automatically; we tell them at the start that they will not.
The parent report and the school summary are written as two separate documents, not one document with parts taken out. You read the school version before anyone else does, and you can ask for a line to come out.
If something in the session suggests a child is at risk of harm, we are required to act, and no promise of confidentiality overrides that. It is rare. If it happens we tell you first, in person, before we do anything.
Nothing we write is a medical record, and nothing we write is a label your child carries into the next school year. Where a question genuinely needs a qualified psychologist, we say so and point you to one.
Who sees the file
The assessor who met your child, the educational leadership who reviews the report, and any specialist you have agreed to involve. Nobody else in the organisation, and no third party.
How long we keep it
Records are retained so a later review or a follow-up assessment has context. You can ask us to delete your child’s file at any time, and we will confirm in writing when it is done.
Never used for marketing
No child’s findings, words or results are used in any promotional material, in any form, identifiable or otherwise, without written consent obtained separately.
To ask what is held on your child, or to have the file deleted, write to privacy@beyondgrades.pk.
